Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/09/2013

Number: 1

It is beginning my third spring in my home. Each year the number of hummers are increasing to an unbelievable number. Right now i have 7 feeders going surrounding my house. At peak feeding they number to a minimum of thirty. The noise of their wings are incredibly loud. they fly by my chair like airplanes at a huge airport. I see 3 different types. Chinstrap ruby throat and the third I think is Rufus(sp?) The rubys will go north many will stay the summer like they did last year. it is a job keeping them safe with food changed and checking for mold. Last year I had trouble with sweat bees does any one have an idea about that?
