Sunny, 29*, no wind. Good morning!I have been working in my garden getting ready to plant.Columbine, maltice cross, butterfly bush, all showing up green. There are 5 mantis egg cases in my hummer garden. While I was pulling out old flower stalks, a morning cloak fluttered by.The robins are busy looking for nest material.Morning doves are back. The ring-billed gulls have been flying back and forth for several days. There is also a bunny hanging out in the back yard.I have put out grape jelly, the robins, sparrows, and finches are enjoying it for now.The orioles will be here soon. There are still skads of juncos. I have been listening for the trill of the chipping sparrows, like the orioles,I will probably hear them before I see them. There are several pairs of cardinals around here, so included a picture I took last week. Good birding and gardening!
