Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/02/2013

Number: 1

I have had a female coming to the feeder, usually in the mid afternoon. She seems very antsy - won't sit very long in the trees before flying off and coming back.

About 7:30 last night, an adult male came from behind the Crepe Myrtle trees. I thought it was the female but this guy flew directly to the Coral Porterweed in front of the window where I was sitting. It was though he had been in the yard before.

A few minutes later he came to one of the feeders. I'm thinking he may have passed through here in the fall.
