Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)
Sightings report image

Date: 04/03/2013

Number: 1

FINALLY saw a male Ruby Throat today. In fact, I have two of them. I was beginning to think they had forgotten about me this spring, I usually have seen one before now. I had a feeling I had two males by the way one of them was acting. He was perching close to the feeders and keeping an eye on them. Sure enough I saw another one and the fighting began. I enclose a pic I managed to capture of the one male guarding the feeders. I am so happy to see them and look forward to their return every year! Love those little flying jewels!!
