Three of us observed one lone loon on Summit Lake near Tekamah, Nebraska on the afternoon of 4/2/13. We were shocked to see a loon in Nebraska. He/she seemed healthy as the bird was diving for fish etc. We took several photos of it so our friends would believe us! We spend our summers in Canada so we were absolutely sure this was a loon.
