I spotted a lone very thin robin in my garden on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. The weather as reported by Environment Canada was a High of 19.2 C and a low of -3.7 C on that particular day. The temperature has been colder and snowier after that date and I have not seen the robin since. For years now, whenever I see the first robins come back, there have always been magpies and large black ravens following and I observe that they always tend to chase or attack the robins and other songbirds.
