My friend Bill heard a robin chirrping in a neighbour's tree on his walk this morning.
Still lots of snow on the ground...and more expected.
Temperatures remain cool..-4C to +2C.
April 15
Finally! There were 3 robins in the back yard...we have very little exposed ground as 95% is still covered in snow. The roads and shoulders are bare as well as walkways and driveways that were cleared of snow during the winter.
I threw out some frozen berries but didn't see them after I did that.
It began to rain late afternoon with temperatures about +7C.
See when this Northern Observation Post predicted first robin!
