The 9 day egg. ====== I mentioned earlier that an egg I saw laid on March 31 was still intact on Apr 5 and looked OK. I speculated that cold weather had suspended development. On Apr 8 I could see larva head at egg tip and today Apr 9 the egg had hatched. Shell been mostly consumed. I could not spot the larva. Image shows same egg on 4 dates. I will email the individual images.
