Finally !! long awaited & over due, a female monarch appeared this evening around 5:30 pm. She stayed on the thistle & then found just one of many patches of milkweed. She laid eggs on the common & tropical milkweed. Sure she'll be around in the morning, was able to collect 8 eggs.
Our temps today were in the 60's, light winds from the east.
