The weather was cold today when we went out to check our tulip garden. It was 28 F. There were snow flurries, it was partly cloudy, cold, blue sky. The sun was out and it was windy.
The soil temperature was 43 F. Tulips have emerged just a few inches above the ground. Soil temperature was warmer than the air.
