Following several days of rain and after one very nice day in the high 60s I saw the very first earth worms emerge. It has been cool but the daffodils are fully up and the robins are nesting. The daylillies have begun to emerge on the south sides of the property. Forsythias have small yellow buds, magnolia buds are visable. When we walk in the forest preserve with the dog, the grass is green and you can see green on the forest floor as plants have begun to emerge. Spring is finally here.
