Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/15/2013

Number: 1

Virginia Living Museum Horticulture Specialist Darl Fletcher reported seeing a monarch butterfly flying by him about 6 pm this date on the grounds of Mariner's Museum Park, across the street from Warwick High School. It was flying too fast to be photographed or sure of the condition of the butterfly's wings but its colors were clear enough to be obviously a monarch. It was trending southwards.
