Driving along hwy 71 from Kenora to Ft. Frances- family of eagles- sharing a meal (dead raccoon) along the highway- two adults and a younger bird...and they were arguing with the ravens and a crow... one adult stayed with the road kill the other flew up into a tall pine with the younger bird... I saw three other eagles in flight from Kenora south to Ft. Frances today...cloudy/sunny morning +1C. there is still snow along the north sides of the roads but the south shoulders are clear..lots of deer feeding along the hwy as well... good day to be in the northwoods!!!
