Sixteen Asclepias syriaca plants have sprouted at the butterfly garden at Carver Park Recreation Center in Johnson City, TN. All of the leaves are still clasping the stem. The tallest is approximately 2 inches high, the shortest just barely showing above the soil. No immatures were found.
