I noticed while closing the blinds just after sundown in the back of the house that every few feet in the yard and in the trees were Robbins pecking and hopping and fluttering. Checking in front of the house the same amazing numbers of birds were there. They were gone by morning. The weather had been rainy and had subsided that Thursday. An experience not easily forgotten.
