Despite two feet of snow everywhere, cold and blustery weather, and the lake still frozen, I saw a brave robin flying from one bare tree to the next. The top of the mountain at this late winter season was the last place for a robin. However, the occasional bare patches in the woods where the snowfall was thinner might sustain a robin for a week or two.
