Tulips BLOOMED
Sightings report image

Date: 04/22/2013

Number: 1

What a way to celebrate Earth Day!! Proof that spring is finally here doesn't get any clearer than this! When we left for spring break less than a dozen of the tulips had emerged and were less than 4 cms tall. Imagine our excitement returning from vacation today and discovering that our tulips had not only emerged but were in full bloom. 72 out of the 75 bulbs planted bloomed. Our tallest is 48 cms and our shortest is 13 cms. All tulips have 6 petals and the petals are smooth and silky. Lots of scientists with green thumbs in this 4th grade!
