After seeing what I believe was a worn female flying around the garden I started checking my milkweed plants for eggs. Instead I found 2 caterpillars of about 2nd instar size. The following day I found another caterpillar of the same size that I missed the day before. The next day I found number 4 on the same plant. It couldn't have been more than a few days old. I'm so thankful that I just bought several more plants to add to the garden a few days before finding my children.
