Saw tremendous activity at our feeding station in the early evening between 7 and 8:30: cardinals, goldfinches, chickadees, titmice, cowbirds, house finches, white-throated sparrow,red-winged blackbird,downy woodpecker, mourning doves, towhees,brown-headed nuthatch. Also saw two new species for me -blue grossbeak and common redpoll. I first thought the redpoll was a small house finch, but the size, shape, and breast color weren't right - so I looked it up!
