Oh, the JOY in SPRING! Snow still near the bed, but the tulips pushed through and now are basking in the sunlight of our first day above 60 degrees!
This year tulips emerged 8 days later than the latest emergence on record. In 2003 they emerged on April 16. I hope they grow like weeds (creeping charlie) and bloom their cheerful red flowers soon.
