What a nice suprise. My husband and I were cleaning our garage when a male ruby throated hummer landed on the feeder in the dogwood, not more than five feet from us. He then flew up in the crabapple tree. Our resident hummers usually arrive on May 1. Did not see him after that. Waiting for our orioles to come!!
