Just a few minutes after 3:00 pm, just outside my three seasons porch, a male ruby throat appeared at the feeder, made the rounds to a number of the ports, flew off, and then returned five minutes later for one more sampling. He did not perch at the feeder (only hovered) and did not return again, so must have been just passing through. It is still a week or two early for those that stay.
