Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 04/29/2013

Number: 1

We saw a greenish red little bud sticking out of the moist (almost muddy) soil. This was the first one that we saw. Our bulbs have been sitting underground for almost 6 months! Our spring has been very cold and snowy, but just in the last week we have had some nice, sunny, warm weather. Our garden has been covered in snow, and it has been very wet and muddy. We are worried that our bulbs may have rotted underground because the soil is soooo wet. This is our first and only tulip to emerge out of the 18 that we planted.
