Valerie in South Scottsdale reported a monarch flying in her yard and resting in a nearby tree. The next morning she thought it was laying eggs on milkweed but later only found one egg. She thought she saw a small caterpillar but it shortly disappeared. (Reported to Southwest Monarch Study)
