We have a robin that built a nest on our deck railing aprox 5 feet from our living room window. About two weeks ago we noticed her sitting on it. During a break when she was gone we observed and photod four eggs. On 4-29 a squirrel tried to get the eggs. She drove the squirrel off punishing him good. Another robin that we believe was the mate continued the attack on the squirrel when it got away to the fence. Today 5-1-13 at 7:30 pm eastern time we observed proud mama bird with four newborn babies!!! All appear to be healthy. We have some pics. Will try to get more tomorrow. This is a great experience for our kids as well as us...mrs robin shows no fear of us and seems as curious of us as we are of her! Even with our two cats in the window!!!
