Oh my goodness...there is a large painted turtle sitting on the cedar log in the pond along the Hunt Club Rd...is the female that I released two summers ago after she recovered from car wounds...weather overcast but +14C...on sunday tgere are four turtles...big femake on a clump of waterplants and three mid sized painteds on the log..no sign of small or medium snappers yet...spring has arrived at the pond..lots of redwings singing and nesting and the turkey vultures are soaring overhead.
