Ice out on White Bear Lake!! And a common loon was sighted!! This is a very late ice out.

2012 was March 19th
2011 was April 13th

The earliest ice out was 2012 when a heat wave made quick work of the thin layer. The latest ever was May 4, 1950. The only other May date was in 1965.
