Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/03/2013

Number: 1

Oh, they are late this year. This afternoon I spotted our first hummer about 5:30 pm and then again at 7:30pm. It was a little girl hummer and she was very thin. I sure need to fatten her up. I have been watching with feeders filled and refilled for sometime. I have felt there was one around but I sure never spotted them. I have had a little downy woodpecker that has been using the feeder since I put it up each day. Both male and female woodpeckers have visited the feeders many times a day. They'll have to move over now and share.
