Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/06/2013

Number: 1

At 9:30, as I was checking the feeder through the window, a male hummer flew in and stayed, sipping leasurely for a couple of minutes. I got my thrill for the day!!! :-D Soooo0ooooOoooo glad they're back! Yesterday, I noticed the feeder was a bit lower, so he--or an oreole--could have been by before this.

Last Thursday, May 2nd, we had a *snow* storm..., so this little fella was an even *more* welcomed sight!!! :-) [Yes, snow this late in the season *is* very unusual even for us here in Wisconsin! We also had a blanket of snow on the ground ALL March and most of April, again very unusual for us.]
