I first saw milkweed last week on the side of the road in my usual locations (from previous years) where I gather it for providing food for my monarch cat's; today, May 8th, the stems are about 12 inches tall, with some leaves almost 4 inches long. No sign of eggs yet, at any of the 4 sites that I checked.
