Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 05/08/2013

Number: 1

I have noticed that our feeders were getting empty very fast and saw the possible reason. We have had 3 hummers (2 males and 1 female) that stayed the winter with us. But I noticed today that we have 2 new hummers, one that is very small - a male, and the other is a female with a rusty brown color to the top feathers on her back. So I am guessing they are exhausted from there migration and need extra nourishment to keep them going until the body can adjust. So we have at least 5 hummers now at our 2 feeders that I fill almost daily.
