The male calliope hummer returned and appeared to feed every half hour or so. We also saw a female broadtailed hummer at a different feeder. She, too, was tired and hungry as she sat on the perch of the feeder and fed instead of hovering over it. Both of them returned repeatedly and, since the feeders were on different sides of our deck (east and south)they never squabbled over the feeders.
