This year's sighting for us is about 10 days later than most years. Came home from visiting Mom for Mother's Day and DH looked out at the feeder and lo and behold, our first Ruby Throated sighting of the year; a male at the feeder @ 6:20 p.m. Weather is cold and windy (7 degrees Celsius/ 42 F.) with sporadic ice pellets/wet snow showers. A very nice Mother's Day surprise indeed!
