Monarch Waystation #299 at the Virginia Living Museum is EGG-cited to report the first monarch egg!
VLM Volunteer Larry Lewis watched a female monarch laying an egg on a small common milkweed in the Children's Learning Garden early this afternoon during his time in the garden. A monarch had been seen previously pausing on plants on the grounds by several staff but no eggs had been found.
