Two monarchs were flying around a grassy meadow in a woodland spot of Great Falls.
My student, Miranda and her mother were on a nature walk in the woods. They positively identified the two monarch butterflies. Miranda has done her butterfly comparison homework and she and her mother confirmed that what they observed were monarch butterflies. Their only regret was that they didn’t have a camera or phone with them.
