Though very near to the planting from last year and from three or four years ago, this year's tulips were about 10 days behind the older tulips. (The same thing happened last year, with the new tulips being over a week behind the established tulips.)

The new tulips had a much more vivid green and they all bloomed. Of last year's batch about 1/3 bloomed. The first year's tulips had no blooms.
