Finally seen my first male RT Hummingbird this morning. Same day as 2010. I've had the feeders out since the 15th of April and gone through a lot of sugar waiting for them to arrive. It seems to me that Hummingbirds don't arrive here until the lilacs are in bloom. Our immediate backyard is surrounded in lilac bushes, and they are just breaking out into full bloom now. The Gray Catbird arrived here today too! Welcome back little buddies, looking forward to spending the summer in your company.
