Sighted a female Monarch with not too many miles on her feeding on some Salvia in our yard -- she may be late getting to our area, but the common milkweed has had a chance to get 12" to 16" tall in the mean while -- we'll be checking for eggs later this week...

Our late cold snaps have put most plants about 2-4 weeks behind past years.
