On May 20 on SoWestLep@yahoogroups.com famous California lepidopterist Ken Davenport reported seeing a Monarch as well as many other types of butterflies on May 18 at Pine Creek Canyon near the tiny town of Rovana, Calif. elevation 5,060 feet, (37.415741,-118.610443) which is 15 miles northwest of the city of Bishop, Calif.
