Rod and Joan Parrott, well know butterfly breeders and enthusiasts from Port Hope, Ontario, spotted one monarch while driving south on Duke Street from Ganaraska Road and the community of Garden Hill. Due to traffic, they were unable to stop, but they were certain of their sighting. Port Hope, on the north shore of Lake Ontario, is located about 6 miles south from the location of this sighting. One Painted Lady also seen in Garden Hill
