We were out today checking our milkweed and were very pleasantly surprised to watch a female laying eggs. This is the first monarch we have seen in our area since that early April group came through - we thought they had already moved farther north for the season. She was very colorful and healthy looking and may be one from the ones we left in the garden when we brought the others in.
