My wife Karen and I spent the afternoon in High Park in the west end of Toronto. It was sunny and windy and 18 degrees C (64 F). We saw 10 species of butterflies including 1 or possibly 2 Monarchs, a fresh Red Admiral and 2 Eastern Tiger Swallowtails, all firsts for the year. We also saw 1 female Black Swallowtail, 6 Cabbage Whites, 42 Eastern Tailed-Blues, 3 Spring Azures, 2 Pearl Crescents, 5 American Ladies and 5 Hobomok Skippers.
