Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/26/2013

Number: 1

It was late afternoon and beautiful sunny skies. The wind was out of the SE and it was 80 degrees. A monarch was sighted quickly passing through the backyard. It landed on the sweet rocket plant for about 20 seconds and then headed NW. It did not stop to lay eggs on the nearby milkweed. We did not have time to see if it was male or female. So glad to finally see this monarch.
