The Monarch was sighted by Karen at 8:10 am this morning (June 1) in her flower garden in front of her home. She said that it happened very fast, that it flitted by, and she did not have time to see if it was a male or female, or to see where it went. She hasn't seen any eggs although she has been looking.
Karen's home is very close (126m, 138yd) to the native WI prairie that is part of the Sawyer Creek Homeowners "open space". This site is a registered Monarch Waystation, and is a site that will be used for collecting data for the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project this summer.
