I saw my second monarch butterfly today along the Chippewa river bike trail. It has been a wet cool year and has kept a lot of the butterfly activity at very low levels. However after walking past the monarch, on my way back I looked at a few patches of milkweed and noticed around half dozen eggs had been deposited.
