Finally our first monarchs. We saw 2 at least, they were wrestling in the air and 4 more. Our 4 year old was very excited. We had to get out nets and give chase.

Our daughter has been around monarchs since she was 4 months old. This picture is from last summer. We bring caterpillars into the house so we can watch them grow. Here she was watching the monarch's wings inflate and waiting for the next one to "pop"/ hatch. Once the wings are dry, I let her release them.
