Stepped into the yard in the late afternoon and spotted a female monarch nectaring on milkweed. She acted like a male setting up a territory around the milkweed and flowers in bloom, but not an egg did she lay - and no eggs found. 108 degrees. Stayed in the shade during the heat of the day but active early in the day and late afternoon. Stayed around until Monday, June 17th.
