Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/10/2013

Number: 1

This pair of swallows tried to build a nest directly over the front door. We washed it down. So, they moved to the other side of the porch and built their nest there. Six eggs hatched. Only one survived. We picked the rest up off of the concrete after they either fell out of the nest or prematurely tried to fly. Today the last one took its fledging flight!
