Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/26/2013

Number: 1

This momma H bird is built a nest and setting up birthplace right in my tree right outside my east facing window. I've watched many birds here encluding Baltamore Oreoles for the first time.
Momma H bird I call HummaMomma has obsessed me.

Spotted the activity of Hummñetta the Hummingbird on the 26th of June, but she must have been there before that. It has been a much cooler summer here in Twin Cities, MN, with torrential storms, straight-line winds, but through it all she has survived to make and maintain her nest.
Today, July 2, Hummñetta doesn't stay long in the nest. Many short flights out. She, however, does not come to the Hummingbird feeder I have always had in the yard in the summer. This is new to me so I don't know where she's at in making chicks out of eggs or even if there are eggs in this nest at this date..but we be watching.  Photo was taken today.
