On 7/1/13 on NorWestLeps@yahoogroups.com, well known monarch enthusiast David Dube of Eugene, Oregon wrote: "Spotted 3 Monarchs, 1 being a male at Smith Rock [State Park], Oregon on 6/29/13. The primary source of nectar were the blackberries that were in full bloom. Monarch's appeared in very good condition. Also located approx 40 Showy [Asclepias speciosa] Milkweed along the riverbed."
